2)      What are the advantages of email?
ü  Ans-> You can communicate quickly with anyone on the Internet. Email usually reaches its destination in a matter of minutes or seconds.
ü  You can send letters, notes, files, data, or reports all using the same techniques. Once you learn how to use your email program, everything is sent the same way.
ü  You can deal with your email at a convenient time. You don't have to be interrupted when email arrives, and you can read it or work with it when you have the time.
ü  You don't have to be shy about using email to communicate with anyone
ü  The cost to you for email has nothing to do with distance, and in many cases, the cost doesn't depend on the size of the message.
ü  We can save a lot of tree via paperless communication environment.

Ans->- Web browser functions are to provide the resources or information to the user when asked by them.
It processes the user inputs in the form of URL like http://www.google.com in the browser and allows the access to that page.
URL is used to identify the resources and fetch them from the server and displays it to the client.
It allows the user to interact with the web pages and dynamic content like surveys, forms, etc.
It also allows the user to navigate through the complete web page and see its source code in the HTML format.
It provides security to the data and the resources that are available on the web that is by using the secure methods.

1)      Web sites
Ans ->A website is a set of related web pages served from a single web domain. A website is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via a network such as the Internet or a private local area network through an Internet address known as a Uniform resource locator. All publicly accessible websites collectively constitute the World Wide Web.
A webpage is a document, typically written in plain text interspersed with formatting instructions of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML, XHTML). A webpage may incorporate elements from other websites with suitable markup anchors.
2)      Disadvantage of email
Ans -> The disadvantage of emails are
1)      Recipients must also be an email user.
2)      Until a mail box is checked there is no way of knowing that a message has arrived.
3)      The user must have access to modem and a phone line.
3)      History of Internet
Ans -> The Internet originated in the late 1960s when the United States Defense Department developed ARPANET(Advanced Research Projects Agency network), an experimental network of computers designed to withstand partial outages such as a bomb attack. The agency sought to create a web of computers that could continue to communicate with each other, even if some of the computers were disabled. In the mid-1980s, when desktop computer workstations became increasingly popular, organizations wanted to connect their local area networks (LANs) to ARPANET. If computers could link together and share resources, everyone would benefit.

1)      Explain the concept of web browser.
A web browser (commonly referred to as a browser) is a software application for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web. An information resource is identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI/URL) and may be a web page, image, video or other piece of content. Hyperlinks present in resources enable users easily to navigate their browsers to related resources.
Although browsers are primarily intended to use the World Wide Web, they can also be used to access information provided by web servers in private networks or files in file systems.
The major web browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari.
2)      Explain the difference between www and internet.
Internet is a global system of interconnected computer network. But WWW is one of the service that run on the internet. The World Wide Web  is a system of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via internet. In contrast, Internet is a mechanism to provide the service like WWW, Email e.t.c
